BB-Mauer, Willis, Vidro. SH-Amezaga. WP-White. GWRBI: Williams
The last game is noteworthy for individual accomplishment rather than any late-inning dramatics. The Tigers' Bret Boone drove in all seven of his team's runs, as well as scoring two. In the first inning, Boone's double scored Alex Rodriguez from first. In the fourth inning, he homered, driving in John Buck and Rodriguez. In the sixth-inning, he hit a second three-run homer with Torii Hunter and Rodriguez (again!) on. Outstanding! Despite all the action, his batting average remained below the Mendoza Line.
